Can we reduce the Custom interval?

Hi Team,

I need some help regarding an issue related to custom interval

rate(fortigate_interface_receive_bytes_total{instance="x.x.x.x", vdom="yyy",name="zzzz"}[5m]) * 8

Now in this query I wish to reduce the interval from 5m to 15s and my scrape interval is set to 1m, If I reduce the scrape interval any over fortigate exporter starts to fail.

Any suggestions how can I solve this issue?

You might want to check how long a scrape takes. Also, make sure the scrape interval is not longer than the timeout this will result in all jobs failing.

e.g.

scrape_interval: 60s
scrape_timeout: 20s
