Description
Description of the bug
Other support types will generate bases (interface layers) regardless of whether they are forming on the build plate or on the model.
Organic supports will not generate bases (interface layers) when bulding on the model.
This results in weak supports that often fail as they have insufficient contact area with the model to adhere sufficiently.
Changing the number of bottom interface layers has no effect.
Project file & How to reproduce
- Import a model that requires supports to be built on the model itself.
- Set the support type to Organic
- Slice
- Observe the issue
- Change the support type to Grid and re-slice
- See the difference
