nova 3d elfin ( modified SL1 bed and then post processing of gcode to rename to CWS format)
Behavior
- Describe the problem
When stepping through slicing workflow the slicer needs to AUTOMATICALLY detect all ISLANDS
then FORCE a support point there every time you tilt the model..
as you cant print without supports on islands without problems in print quality or failures.
add an autoposition model that finds the minimum amount of isalnds in a position
(islands are unsupported pixels on a printing layer with no material below or attached to it horizontally)
second phase is to check the model for peel force weight per layer . and add supports to reinforce that isslands peel force ( larger horizontal mass = more peel force ) and mroe vertical mass in layers conencted = more peel force.
then figure support settings based on those forces ( ie depth and thickness)
once done then a person can manually add supports for confidence. .but this would ensure a no fail print.. and the ISLANDS supports should not be removable without a warning..
this willhappen on any DND mini and any object printed .. mandatory supports should show a difffrent color
and while you are at it allow for post processing plugins or other file formats like chitubox stuff and CWS
and perhaps a way to talk to network wifi printers that use get and post for file uploads and status monitoring. . like my elfin :)
i would own a prusa but the price point is triple that of my elfin .. (1500$ or mroe CDN to 40$ cdn) and same print volume.. where for 1500$ i could get a x10 printer with three times the volume or for 2 k i can get a phrozen with a black and white screen for ultra fast large format prints..
i appreciate your engineerring and durability but its overkill for a entrylevel sl1 printer
