Placing supports for SLA printing:
I have to manually place approximately a bajillion supports on my model because the auto-supports didn't even come close to being useful.
I tried printing my part flat on the bed and it really didn't want to do that.
I got almost to the end and absentmindedly hit the escape key (because that's a typical thing to do in CAD programs to change the functionality of the cursor) and it wiped out all of my supports with no warning. Additionally the grey on teal color scheme was pretty hard on my eyes when focusing on it for an extended period of time.
EDIT: I just found the shortcut that's supposed to place multiple support points with shift+left mouse drag, but that only selects supports for me to delete. None of the other modifier keys allow me to do anything useful. Looks like that was an old article. keyboard shortcuts work as described in the software.
Feature requests
- Pop up an "are you sure?" message when dramatically changing the support structure by accidentally or intentionally exiting the manual support placement interface.
- Allow placement of a grid of support points to speed up the process.
- Allow different color schemes in the editor window.
