Correct way to stop and play files

Hey Phil,

i've got another question to your great library :-)
I want to be able to play WAV-Files and MP3 files.
Is this code correct in principle (i post just a part of my code):

MP3DecoderHelix decoder; 
WAVDecoder wavDecoder; 
AudioPlayer player(source, kit, decoder);
AudioPlayer player_wav(source, kit, wavDecoder);

void stopPlayers() {
  player.setActive(false);
  player.stop();
  player_wav.setActive(false);
  player_wav.stop();
}

// The Filename is stored in the String "sampleName"
void playActiveSample() {

  String fullPath = sampleName;
  if (!fullPath.startsWith("/")) fullPath = "/" + fullPath;

  stopPlayers();

  if (fullPath.endsWith(".mp3")) {
    player.setPath(fullPath.c_str());
    player.setActive(true);

    player_wav.setPath(fullPath.c_str());

Currently i have the problem, that when a new file is played, i hear a short Glitch/Noise at the very beginning (just a few milliseconds long).

Here are my 2 cents:

• player.setActive(false); and player.stop() is the same thing: they just make sure that copy() has no impact.
• some codecs maintain state so if you want to play something else you might need to call end and begin again.
• Instead of 2 players you could use a MultiDecoder...

player.end() has solved my problem :-)

So i have only one problem left ... please see my next and hopefully last thread :-)

One final comment: there is a MultiDecoder class that can be used to feed multiple audio formats to the AudioPlayer
