OAuth login with Google button may get stuck upon publishing new posts, goes into login loop

D reports that upon editing a post or publishing a new post, the Login prompt pops up and won't allow posting:

We should try reproducing this by logging in the same way on the stable server.

I"ll defer to @jywarren @TildaDares for assignments, but it would be wonderful if you could perhaps try to reproduce this error on the stable server by creating an account that uses OAUTH through Google. Then make a post, and also edit a post, and report back on what happens.
