Improve README documentation for new contributors

While exploring plots2 as a new contributor, I noticed that some parts of the README
could be clearer for beginners, especially around setup and navigation.

I would like to improve the documentation by:

• Clarifying setup steps
• Improving formatting and readability
• Adding helpful notes for first-time contributors
