Clean-up existing spam
- Add tab for Profiles to publiclab.org/spam/ Discussion of automated spam detection techniques (formerly spam dashboard discussion) #2377,
- possibly completed a month ago via Add "people" tab to /spam page for moderators #2079
- previously manually attempted through an export in 2015's filter for users who have profile bio content #308
- first described add user profiles to the spam moderation page #42
- Stop displaying wiki revisions marked "spam" in search results Spam in wiki page revisions is wrongly returned in search results #2343
- tag spam moderation (although this is much less of a problem now) tag spam moderation #217
Hinder incoming spam
- To the current email notification in which the moderators get notified with the research note, their username, and the email they signed up with, ALSO include the contents of their user bio
- Confirm that moderating first-time actions of any kind (comments, wiki edits, etc.,) is in the works -- what about "Likes"?
- Add questions to publiclab.org/signup. No issue yet (Please make one!), but is related to the overall design of the sign-up moment generate confirmation email (done) and require confirmation (not yet done) #378 which is part of the "UI and newcomer onboarding" milestone
- Give options to non-moderators to flag content as spam. Suggested in Need Flag Option for Spam: Research Notes, comments, wiki pages #1487 and in Tags for minimizing spam #2321
