NDNPlay will not load over insecure connections from localhost on Safari

Output from the JS console in Safari:

[blocked] The page at https://play.ndn.today/?minindn=ws%3A//127.0.0.1%3A8765&auth=e188b8122bd5db41d6e47a59badfd74d was not allowed to run insecure content from ws://127.0.0.1:8765/?auth=e188b8122bd5db41d6e47a59badfd74d.

This worked when opening the same link in Chrome.
Running pulsejet/miniNDN on a remote Vagrant machine with port forwarding on 8080 and 8765.
