Sonos Integration Needs

I'm a code owner of the HA Sonos integration.

Let's use this discussion to capture any integration needs that would make the card even more awesome.

Do you know if there has ever been a discussion on adding more features related to the queue?
Like moving an item, adding an item.

I added the action to return the queue. Which I think you are using?

When shuffle is turned on, I've been unable to get the shuffled queue. So the call still returns the unshuffled queue.

You can add an item to the queue using play_media and have it added to the end or to the current position. The Sonos api allows specifying the position so we could support that as an additional parameter.

Moving would be a two step process - first remove (there's a call for this), then adding with the play_media and specify the new position?

Another thing that's often requested is to search for media.

A search interface has been added in Home Assistant for media_players so we can support that in Sonos. I haven't looked at it to see if there is a standardized search query or if it's Freeform and up to the integration to specify. Examples search for Artists like Clapton; Songs containing Christmas, etc. Rather than implementing every possible thing at once, it'll be easier to implement one thing first and get the PR accepted and then do the next,.... Thoughts on what to search for first?

Yes, I am using that!

Yes, I know about this option, of doing it in multiple calls. But a move action would be even nicer. One call to make the move.

My impression is that the most wanted search feature is to search for songs.

As soon as the search function is added to this card, I’m all over it. Music assistant and Sonos have issues constantly with speaker switching but I haven’t found any with this player. Unfortunately, without search abilities it is significantly limited and is not wife approved.
