While I hold the middle mouse button to pan the document currently open, the entire viewport seems to randomly 'scroll' on its own to the left and upwards, diagonally, even though I'm no longer moving the mouse.
This happens on Arch Linux on scroll (a Wayland compositor based on sway) and only in native Wayland mode. With XWayland (with the environment variable WAYLAND_DISPLAY=""), I can't reproduce it.
Here's a screencast that demonstrates the issue:
recording.mp4
Steps to reproduce
Open a document. (I used the PDF version of the GNU coreutils manual in the screencast.
Zoom in by a few steps and jump forward by at least one page.
Pan the document with the mouse towards the right until you reach the right edge.
While still holding the middle mouse button, notice that the document pans towards the upper left corner of the window.
Expected behavior
The document position stays the same when the middle mouse button is held but the mouse is not being moved.
Is there an existing issue for this?
