We need to prepare the DAGA 2026 workshop

Suggested topics include:

• Room acoustic parameter calculation using pyrato (Pascal, Simon, Artur)

  • RIR data based on pyfar.signals.room_impulse_response or pyrato.analytic. (...)
  • Introduction of signals, filters via RIR and bandpassed RIR
  • Interactive plots example on band-passed RIRs
  • Room acoustic parameters
    • EDC calculation
    • T20
    • Clarity (or similar)
    • STI

• HRTF interpolation using spherical harmonics (Marco, Fabian, Anton)

  • Load HRTF dataset -> data + coordinates
  • Coordinates + SamplingSphere intro
  • interpolation in the spherical harmonic domain
    • SphericalHarmonics class
  • time aligned interpolation (SH domain)
  • alternatively SphericalHarmonicRotation of the HRTF
  • convolution with a signal from pyfar.signals.files

As an intro it would also be nice to say a couple of words on the implemented data structures (Signals, Filters, Coordinates) and visualization capabilities before going into specific examples. This way the workshop is also interesting to a broader audience than just people from room acoustics and binaural audio.
