Will there be a v2.23.5 release where the setup-python action will be changed to @v6 to be node24 compliant, reduce noise?

Hi @xavier2k6, thanks for opening this discussion! We recently created a release in the v2 patch line because virtualenv URLs were being hit by GitHub's rate limits (#2775). So I would be +1 on creating a v2.23.5 release as well, since this sounds fairly low-effort. Could you please speak about the urgency of this need, i.e., do you know when GitHub plans to fully deprecate Node.js 20 actions?

• Node.js 20 will be removed from the runner on September 16th, 2026.
• Please check if updated versions of these actions are available that support Node.js 24.
• To opt into Node.js 24 now, set the FORCE_JAVASCRIPT_ACTIONS_TO_NODE24=true environment variable on the runner or in your workflow file.
• Once Node.js 24 becomes the default, you can temporarily opt out by setting ACTIONS_ALLOW_USE_UNSECURE_NODE_VERSION=true.
