hatch python install appends PATH but wouldn't you want it to prepend PATH

Also, can one control hatch modifying one's shell files - perhaps it could be done like pipx's ensurepath? In a quick test it modified both .bash_profile and .bashrc.

ha, just checked pipx uses userpath (another of your packages) as does hatch.

And now reading the docs more closely I see hatch python install has the --private option. So that provides some control and an answer to the second part of my question.
