Exclude transitive dependency

Is it possible to exclude or ignore a transitive dependency that causes dependency conflicts?

If you set the installer option to uv then you can use their https://github.com/astral-sh/uv#dependency-overrides

Is there a hatch native way to specify the override, in the pyproject.toml perhaps? IIUC the UV docs suggest the mechanism is to pass --override override.txt when doing uv pip install, but hatch performs the uv pip install command.
