local hatch configuration?

Hi.

I'm trying to manage a monorepo and I want to have an observable config.toml for this project. One way is to use the env var $HATCH_CONFIG but I would like to have a local .hatch.config file located at the root of my monorepo to indicate the hatch settings that I'm trying to run with, and sync it with other developers.

Is this possible?

Not possible yet but I will add that feature. What configuration are you interested in exactly?

I'm configuring a monorepo with multiple packages sharing the same namespace, and I want to make sure that the project related config persists in our git repo so everyone can have identical hatch setups. It also helps with vscode configuration since I can use a local .hatch folder for virtual environments and things like that.

Would configuration be strictly overridden or merged with priority given to the repo config?

Yeah the repo config should have the higher priority, a merge of the local(repo) configuration + the host config should occur with repo configuration having the higher priority. Only env vars (if supported) should have higher priorities than local config.
