When you press space to select a wifi network... why does it take like 400ms for the password popup to show?

I'm on a pretty new amd ryzen ai machine... and yet typing in the password has a delay. is that something we can improve?

how did you measure this 400ms ?
how did you install impala ?

1. recorded the screen and then timed it in my video editor. it varies, but typically it ends up being about 400ms
2. using Omarchy OS so it's preinstalled

Same here, he means the popup that shows up to type a password for a network under the New Networks section. It is slow to show up after pressing space to connect to that new network, even though one would expect it to show instantaneously, since it's just a password field. Maybe it's slow because iwd has to check if the network needs a password?

it is instant for me 🤔 , never had that issue before

its only really because ive been testing omarchy and so ive done a clean iso install like 50 times in the past month. then when i go to enter a password i am so confused as to why it takes it a while for the field to so. the wifi ssid already know the security it has on it, so it seems like the popup should be instant 🤷

fwiw. Installed omarchy on a framework 12 laptop today. after hitting space to type in a password it took about a full 2 seconds for the password prompt to show after i hit the space key

It still ins't instantaneous for me on 0.4.0. I do love the new interface though.

I'm using 0.4.1 and there's still about a half second delay between.

i used my phone in slo mode mode (1/4th speed) and it took 3 seconds from finger pressing space to entering a password. so roughly 750ms? but funny enough. opening up impala is instant. lol
