Is there a way to allow searching extension-less files as images in Similar Images?

I use shimmie2 to store a lot of artwork, for instance, and the way it saves images uploaded is by saving them as an extensionless file, but the file is still the exact same as if it was a .png .jpg, or whatever else, yet, czkawka doesn't seem to detect and include them in the search for similar images sadly, so i was wondering if there was a way to make it work? 😄
