A single Source of Truth to be compared against

Thanks for excellent Software! Much appreciated.
How do I compare everything else against a 'Single Source of Truth' (IE: A directory / File or similar) and when I take action on discovered duplicates it does retain my valued 'Single Source of Truth'? and does not delete, modify, move it at all?
Almost like protection. I can go line item by line item and make selections on discovered duplicates, however this is cumbersome.
I'm thinking in the line of marking with a wild card or path, not to be confused with the already 'Excluded Directories' tab prior to performing active searching.

I think the reference folder check mark to the right of the "folders to search" section does what you want.
