ARM Linux Network Stack Issues: Fails to bind to VPN Interface #23801

Description

@ZethiaZ

qBittorrent & operating system versions

qBittorrent: 5.1.4 (Both tested on native package and flathub)
OS: Fedora 42 Asahi Remix KDE
QT: 6.9.3

What is the problem?

When binding to a VPN interface, the connection always shows "disconnected" when bound to any VPN interface. I have tried both Windscribe and Mullvad and different protocols. qBittorrent only works when bound to any interface or the wireless card, and can at times bypass the VPN (and its killswitch) to connect to the internet but never connects through the vpn.

I am not a particularly techy user so there are limits to my abilities but I tried looking for related issues and asking for help from my VPN providers and community options before opening an issue.

I found what I believe to be a related issue #19993 but it is quite old. The culprit seems to do with the network stack on ARM Linux causing issues. I am running on a Macbook Pro with an m1 pro processor and using the as of now latest version of Fedora Asahi. I have no other arm based devices to test it on but qBittorrent (and the vpn killswitches) acted as expected on my x86-64 based secondary laptop.

Log(s) & preferences file(s)

I put in a sample of the log #23770 and am using completely default settings other than the network interface, and I tried turning off UPnP but it made no difference.
