Creating .torrent by right clicking hangs qbittorent

What is the problem?

So i wanted to create a .torrent from torrent by right clicking and selecting the option. But i notice it hands qbittorent for 5-10 seconds before actually creating the torrent. I think it also hangs my pc?

That I can't reproduce, so without enough info others have to guess a lot or you have to wait for someone to try luck with maybe a overloaded or old slow PC.

Try: open Options - Advanced and change Disk IO type to be Simple pread/pwrite, apply and restart client.

Otherwise wait if next major release v5.3.0 solves your issue.

qbittorent : 5.3.4

Official name is qBittorrent and v5.2.3 is currently latest stable release.

So if you made multiple typos, then consider to edit and fix your issue title and opening post.

I mean it happens on default settings with lt20qt6 version every time win 11

The steps to reproduce are simply to produce a torrent file from any completed/running torrent file by right clicking and selecting the create .torrent

I cant remember the exact label . Its export .torrent i think

Then change your issue title to be more obvious to avoid confusion.

For example: qBit hangs for 5-10sec when right-clicking to Export .torrent...

Can you reproduce if you stop all torrent transfers and even if you disconnect internet?

You have installed and running something that replaces or modifies Windows File Explorer?

What kind of storage is qBittorrent installed on? SSD, HDD, network drive, SD-card?

Do you use the native UI or the web UI?

Exact build is 5.2.3 ( lt20qt6)

Only 2 completed torrents. So negligible. Have NVME SSD on which i output the torrent from qbittorent. qbittorent itself is also installed in the same drive and NVME
I use native UI . The normal windows app.

I have just now set my only 2 torrents to stop (with status complete) and it actually doesnt hang now. Turning them back to normal seeding status and exporting now hangs it again . So i did find something

No replacement or modification to file explorer

Test running in portable mode with default config. Add a few (the same) torrents and see if you can get the same behavior.

If you do not get the same problem that way it is something in your config that is causing the problem. Please post your preferences file. (Remove anything private/secrets before uploading or pasting)
