wont allow me to attach custom volume with docker/portainer?

Hey guys, very new to the scene sorry if this is a noob q

using portainer to set up all my containers and after attaching the volume once i save it disappears, only happens with this doesn't happen with proxy manager or any other containers on other VMs

Do i have to update the ENV as well? Also from what I understand it creates a config at /updater/data/, if it cannot find one but after searching for it through my cli I cannot find where it created it?

Really grateful for any help
