Version control for collections

Hi,
I am currently looking for a possibility to indicate that a new version of a collection is available (like with metadata for qgis plugins). Is there an option available that I've missed or would this be sth. for improvement? So, actually I would expect a line like "version=1.0" in collection's metadata.ini file.

No problrm to include it slreaIt will just be ignored until it is suppported.
