Description
What is the bug or the crash?
The advanced
dropdown button in Categorized
layer symbology settings does not work on macOS. As shown in the attached video, the dropdown appears to not receive focus, preventing any option in the dropdown menu from being clicked. The system plays the alert "boop" sound when trying to click on any option.
macos-bug-failing.mp4
Interestingly, this issue does not occur with all similar buttons. For example, the advanced
button in Single symbol
symbology works as expected:
macos-bug-working.mp4
I am not aware of other places where this button does not work. I'll add them here if I come across this again.
Steps to reproduce the issue
- Right-click on layer in the layer tree
- Choose
Properties
- Go to
Symbology
tab - Choose
Categorized
symbology - Click the
advanced
menu in the middle right of the screen - You won't be able to click on any of the dropdown options
