I would like to test it, but i was not able to create an aot-jar with Gradle. Ist Gradle not supported ?

# creates an AppCDS archive
./gradlew build -Dquarkus.package.jar.aot.enabled=true

# creates no archive at all 
./gradlew build -Dquarkus.package.jar.aot.enabled=true -Dquarkus.package.jar.type=aot

@gsmet I can't get it to work.

• Gradle 9.3.1
• Quarkus 3.32.2
• Temurin-25.0.2+10

All combinations described in https://quarkus.io/guides/aot produce a app-cds.jsa. Even setting -Dquarkus.package.jar.type=aot-jar gives the same result.

Examples (not working):

• ./gradlew build buildAotEnhancedImage -Dquarkus.package.jar.aot.enabled=true -Dquarkus.package.jar.type=aot-jar
• ./gradlew build quarkusIntTest buildAotEnhancedImage -Dquarkus.package.jar.aot.enabled=true -Dquarkus.package.jar.type=aot-jar

Do you have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I found a single combination that works with Gradle. All other combinations either generate an app-cds.jsa or no output at all.

./gradlew build buildAotEnhancedImage -Dquarkus.package.jar.aot.enabled=true -Dquarkus.package.jar.aot.type=aot -Dquarkus.package.jar.aot.phase=build
