q-date range, setting default start date as today

I have a q-date on my site and it's really nice. I am using the raged date picker.

I'd like to have the default from: date be today(), and the to: date be 3 days from today. How do I implement this?

     <q-date
        v-model="eventDateRange"
        range 
        today-btn
        @click="calcNumOfDays"
        mask="MM-DD-YYYY"
        />  

I have my dates being grabbed in created:

   const timeStamp = Date.now()
    const toDateCalendar = date.formatDate(timeStamp, 'YYYY/MM/DD')
    let fromDateCalendar = date.addToDate(toDateCalendar, { days: 3 })
    fromDateCalendar = date.formatDate(timeStamp, 'YYYY/MM/DD')

and this is my data:

eventDateRange: ref({ from: this.toDateCalendar, to: this.fromDateCalendar }),

but this isn't working. I'd love help thanks!
