Question on managing Electron dependencies separately

I've recently exanded my app to include an Electron build. As part of my Electron app, I have electron-specific functionality and now I have plenty of package dependencies that are only relevant for the Electron build. I know that tree shaking should keep my Web apps clean, but is there a clean way to separate Electron package.json dependencies from my web dependencies? Over the span of a large / complicated project, I'm worried about leaking package dependencies into my Web app (developer errors).
