Quasar BEX with Vite: how to require this module?

Hi,

I am completely lost.

In my BEX project which was working with Quasar Webpack, I need to include the WPAPI module.

Here what I tried:

Attempt 1

In a file "wordpress.js":

const WPAPI = require('wpapi') 

Result: require is not defined at runtime

Attempt 2

import * as WPAPI from 'wpapi'

Result at compile time:
[vite]: Rollup failed to resolve import "wpapi" from "src/modules/wordpress.js".
This is most likely unintended because it can break your application at runtime.
If you do want to externalize this module explicitly add it to
build.rollupOptions.external

Attempt 3
Same as above, with quasar.conf.js like that:

extendViteConf (viteConf) {
        viteConf.build.rollupOptions = {
          external: ['wpapi']
        }
        console.log(viteConf)
      },

Result at runtime:
Failed to resolve module specifier "wpapi". Relative references must start with either "/", "./", or "../"

With Webpack, a simple 'require' was enough. Do I miss something? How can I include this module?

Sorry guys, it was a stupid mistake.

I was in the migration process to support Manifest v3. And I forgot to install the wpapi module by doing a yarn add wpapi in my new repository.

Lost several hours for this stupid mistake.
