Lighthouse would like to have a name for the QIcon (in, for instance, QDropDown, expand-icon), so that, for instance, screen reader can read the function of the icon (expand_arrow_down).
Currently QIcon always defaults to
aria-hidden="true"without an option to add an "explanation".I tested it with screen reader and, indeed, it doesn't specify anything of what you'd might like.
I believe it's a good idea to add the option to add a description of the (functional) QIcon and/or even find a clever way to derive that from the icon-identifier (expand_arrow_down) by default (Expand arrow down ~ not knowing if there's much logic to the naming with other frameworks, rather than MaterialIcons, but I suppose there is).
Looking forward to hear any thoughts on this...
