Issue with ellipsis and flexible column

Hi, I have issue with ellipsis and column width. I want to use column-auto to adjust width to text width, but then ellipsis does not work, but when I use "col" then ellipsis work, but column occupy all available width, so it is not sth I am looking for, I need icon on the right side directly next to text.
