q/app-vite with Vite 8

Hi everyone,

Next week, we will be releasing q/app-vite with Vite 8.
We'll also update the default build target to the recommended baseline-widely-available.

The long term plan is to also replace esbuild with rolldown from the build system for different Quasar modes (/src-electron, etc). Until then, everything in your /src folder will use rolldown through Vite 8.

In the short term, we also plan on replacing ESLint with the oxc linter for new projects, since oxc is now mature enough and it also has very good IDE support too.

Regarding oxc, it still lacks vue template support, right? How does people handle that?

I have mentioned this on Discord as well, but vite+ looks very interesting and something I would like to bring to our Quasar applications in my company. But that probably affects Quasar cli. Would be nice to hear some thoughts on this.

All support is already there. You won't have any issues with oxc and rolldown.

I need to put a rest on all worries. Quasar is here to stay and lead. That is my hard promise to everyone.
It will become very obvious with Quasar v3, which I am currently planning. But more on this just a bit later. We will need your input on some decisions that we'll take for the new major version.
