Opening from a shared drive - sync issues related to not reloading the database #53

Description

@BigDoom

I currently keep GammaLedger (GL) in a Google Drive folder so that I can access it from multiple computers. The database file is stored in the same folder and is properly synced between devices.

However, when I open GL, it does not appear to automatically load the database file from that folder. Instead, it seems to load a locally stored or cached version. To use the latest synced database, I have to manually reload the file each time.

This caused some trades to go missing. I added and saved several trades on PC 1, but when I later opened GL on PC 2 through the bookmark/index file, those trades were not visible. Because GL did load a version of the database, I assumed it had automatically loaded the latest synced version.

Would it be possible to add an option to either:

  1. Automatically reload the database file whenever GL is opened; or
  2. Start with a blank database, forcing the user to manually load the file?

The second option would at least prevent users from unknowingly continuing to work in an outdated version of their database. Altough option 1 would be my preference obviously.
