Importing Strava zip file archive does not pickup <type> and <name> tags to populate equivalent fields in CubeTrek data

A Strava archive zip file has the track points as well as the and fields which specify the type of activity and a descriptive title that was entered for the Strava activity.

If you import this Strava zip file archive all of the tracks points are correctly imported, but none of the tracks have the activity type field nor title string populated in the CubeTrek data. Since this information is available in the Strava archive it seems like it should be used in the import process.

As it stands now I have 1500 tracks with no activity type and no descriptive titles.

Activities are imported directly from the FIT files in the provided ZIP archive. All other data is currently discarded (e.g. activity titles).

The activity type however is parsed by the type as defined in the FIT file. The question in your case is why those files do not contain the activity type.

You say you currently discard the name tag. Seems like an easy and very useful bit of information to include in an import.

Hi, I am experiencing the same issues! It seems that it works well in the beginning of a bulk upload (1400 gpx files) but after roughly 20% it just only annotates them as "unknown"

Nevertheless, this tool is AMAZING! I have been looking for something like this for the longest time! I would love to contribute with some coding, I am experienced in python. If I can help with something I am happy to do so! Also I will for sure spend some money on this if I have a stable income again...
