Issue with lock & unlock

Hello,

I notice and issue when calling unlock() first (when it's not yet locked) and then lock(). After that, unlock() has no effect.

Maybe an isLocked() method would help to don't unlock or lock when it's not necessary?

I had the same issue, So i wrote isLocked method manually and now it works fine.
