Hide all thumbnails on Collection map at once / graphic role #752

Request from client:

We have been informed that, in the Map quicklook of the STAC browser for the MAAP catalogue of Aeolus — specifically on the Aeolus L2B Products collection page and on the per‑orbit pages reached from there — the thumbnail with curtain plots is displayed below the orbit trajectory.

As a result, it is not possible to clearly see the location on the globe, since the thumbnail blocks the view.

An example of this is at https://radiantearth.github.io/stac-browser/#/external/catalog.maap.eo.esa.int/catalogue/collections/AeolusL2BProducts

Reply:

The STACBrowser has a control at the bottom left of the map that allows to enable/disable items that should be shown on the map. On this page (representing the collection), for each product, the thumbnail and the footprint can be shown/hidden as wanted. Of course, this is cumbersome as there are many items to check/uncheck to hide all thumbnails and only leave all footprints as the collection map shows all items (of the (initial search) request) at once...

Indeed, it would be good to allow a more easy way to hide/show all thumbnails on the collection overview at once instead of having to click on each of them separately.

Nevertheless, this can also be avoided in this specific case by providing better roles for the assets.
thumbnail, overview and visual are meant primarily for data visualisations on a map. So I read and show them as such.
For the purpose of plots and other visualizations, there's the role graphic.
See https://github.com/radiantearth/stac-spec/blob/master/best-practices.md#list-of-asset-roles
graphic is currently not supported by STAC Browser, but should be shown together with the thumbnails in the separate thumbnail tab, but not be shown on the map.
