Clarify that in some distros one my need fcitx

I'm on Fedora KDE and in order for me to have the right layout shown to me I had to install fcitx5. Only then I was able to pick English (US, intl., with dead keys) as an option and then procedure #1 did work!

Not doing that made all procedures unworkable.

Hi @brenolf and really thanks for reporting this. In a quick search, I saw it's related to Wayland support.

Is it a replacement for uim?

Please, if you have some free time, can you open a PR with the instructions?

I can confirm that installing fcitx5 on Fedora 43 KDE makes the first approach work (thanks for that, btw!). However, on every reboot I receive a warning, so I'm not sure if this is the officially recommended approach or if I broke something while trying out the other solutions before.

Would be nice if someone with a clean Fedora can confirm this.

Just to add more info on this topic. I had to install fcitx5 to make it work on some applications (mostly electron based like Discord) running Arch Linux KDE Plasma because they would bypass XCompose somehow (maybe the uim method would work for me as well, I didn't try it though).
