Add blackbox E2E tests and living documentation #43

Thanks again for the great work shared with the community in this repo !
In order to
- complete the existing documentation over expected behavior, with K8s CR samples acting as living documentation, see intro to living documentation
- avoid future regressions in existing features without delay from users testing
- support code refactorings with timely feedback
I would be great to progressively introduce black box end to end tests system tests.
Spawning out this suggestion into its own issue to ease exchanges and focus.
