They look pretty solid but I would hold up for now for any implementation that moves away from a minimal launcher to a smart launcher.

Right now the goal of the launcher is:

• fully offline
• minimal permissions
• extremely lightweight
• focus-first interaction

Lets track these ideas under a “Future / Extended version” section (I was already considering a lighter version for older devices in the future).

For now, I’d prefer to focus on:

• architecture improvements (splitting SettingsActivity.kt which is turning into a monster, splitting this into more files means that more people can work on the project without touching the same files)
• performance
• stability of core navigation and UX

Once the core is stable, we can revisit feature expansion as a separate track.

Hey mate! I've got an idea, what about creating a Project? This would tidy the repos(mako, mako smart, mako site? If u consider for future)

Hello, Can I add some Improvement as well?

• A double tap option to turn off the screen. (reduce the usage of the lateral button, making it last longer.)
• An option to move the search bar to the top. (gets in the way if you are using gestures to control the applications instead of the normal android buttons. I like to use it like a iphone.)
• An option to not only change the OS wallpaper but to use one as background?

would it make sense tapping the notch to block the phone? prob not possible with all the devices but kinda nice to have some use for it xD

I think you can do both, the normal choice and the notch. I think you should implement a dialog with an option in settings. One selector and slider that it enables when it's selected. The slider it's used to set the sensibility in miliseconds. The default can be 250~300ms
