Hello.
I would like to share a small customization idea regarding Windows File Explorer.
In Windows 11, when the path in File Explorer becomes too long, the address bar automatically collapses folders from the left side.
For example:
... > Steam > steamapps > common > Folder
I was wondering if it would be possible to create a mod that changes this behavior so that the path collapses from the right side instead.
Example:
C: > Program Files > Steam > ...
The reason is simply related to my long-term usage habits.
I have used older versions of Windows for many years, and my usual way of navigating folders has always been clicking a parent folder directly in the address bar, then opening the folders I need again from there.
For example, instead of repeatedly using the Back button or manually editing the path, I often do something like this:
Click a folder near the beginning of the path → jump there immediately → open several folders again by double-clicking.
This has always felt very intuitive to me, and I have used this workflow for a long time.
Because Windows 11 now hides the left side of the path first, this navigation habit has become much harder for me to use.
I understand this may simply be a design change in newer versions of Windows, but personally I still feel much more comfortable with the older behavior.
So I thought it might be interesting if Windhawk could provide an option to change this behavior.
I am not sure whether this is technically possible, but I wanted to share the idea here.
Thank you for reading.
And sorry if my English is not perfect, I used translation software.
