is there a way to download adjusted data for all tickers on a given day through one query?

Every day I need to download yesterday's close for each stock, check whether the value has changed to see if there's split/dividend, which takes a while. I really hope it could be done in one query, i.e., download OHLCV for all tickers for a given day such as 2020-05-01. Any possibility this could happen? Any suggestion or workaround is welcomed! Thank you!
