At least under Ubuntu 22.04, when MetalIB is installed in a Kubernetes cluster running in Rancher Desktop, the LoadBalancer external IP address is not reachable from the host.
As it is an out of the box behaviour, related to the current implementation support of networking features in Rancher Desktop (related to ARP, bridging, promiscuous mode, lima, ...), I would suggest to that this topics should be officially added into the Rancher Desktop documentation.
In the while, what is the good way of configuring the support of Rancher Desktop with MetalLB (and without disabling Traefik)?
