Description
Assuming here that there is a single keyboard plugged into HIDman.
Sometimes (regularly, rather happens than not) on cold start the already plugged-in keyboard is not detected by BIOS during post. In all cases reset helps to make the keyboard visible. For mouse it works fine, if I don't play with modes and plugging/unplugging devices.
Cold boot with USB Type A <-> Type A cable plugged (for powering HIDman) solves the problem too.
The problems happens with at least 3 keyboards that I used for testing.
I suspect that it is an initialisation data race, where BIOS happen to check if the keyboard is present before HIDman starts, and then it is too late. However, I won't insist on this guess.
The computer I tested on is:
Pentium III 667/133, Mobo Asus P3V133 (VIA Apollo Pro 133), PS/2 for mouse and keyboard.
Upgrading to the latest firmware (1.1.6) didn't change this behaviour.
