Windows taskbar applet take unnecessary space for vertical taskbar

Using Workrave 1.10.49 on Windows 10.

It works great with horizontal taskbar, but with vertical even if one timer is shown it takes as much place as the three timer would need.

Microsoft dropped support for these kinds of applets on Windows 11. So I am investigating alternatives.
