Describe the bug
I am currently using Ubuntu Unity 22.10 Kinetic Kudu. I have tried installing Workrave from the official repos, the Jammy version from the stable PPA (not yet available for Kinetic), and the Kinetic version from the testing PPA. From all of these sources, I have tried with either workrave-unity, workrave-ayatana, or even workrave-gnome (for the sake of trying), but none of theme were able to show anything in the Unity indicator area. As a temporary workaround, I have installed an indicator that supports old-school system tray icons, but even that one can only show the icon, not the counters, and it is a rather clumsy workaround overall.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Install workrave-unity on Ubuntu Unity 22.10
- Run Workrave and setup your applet.
- Look at the indicator area, and see nothing Workrave-related appearing.
Expected behavior
Workrave applet should appear in the Unity indicator area. It doesn't.

- Workrave Version: 1.11.0-beta.2 (currently. But it doesn't work with the stable one, either)
Additional context
I know Canonical has abandoned Unity, but it has been picked up by some community members, development and maintenance is slowly continuing now (and is already very usable again), and Ubuntu Unity has been accepted as an official Ubuntu flavour. So I suppose it would be a good thing to have this working again. Thank you very much!
