How to require an embedded object?

Hello,

I've run into an issue with my schema not enforcing a relationship that I need to have.

I need to enforce the property location to be non-nullable/required, but the create command is allowing me to omit it.

Here's the schema:

import { GeoCoordinateRO } from './embedded/GeoCoordinateRO';

export class PlantingLocationRO extends Realm.Object {
  _id! : Realm.BSON.UUID;
  locationDescriptor!: string;
  location!: GeoCoordinateRO;

    name: 'PlantingLocationRO', 
    primaryKey: '_id',
    properties: {
      _id: { type: 'uuid', default: () => new Realm.BSON.UUID() },
      locationDescriptor: 'string',
      location: 'GeoCoordinateRO',

Here's how I'm writing it:

realm.write(()=>{
      realm.create('PlantingLocationRO', {
        //location: {latitude: 1.0, longitude: 2.0},
        locationDescriptor: 'name of the location'
      });
    });

If this is the expected behavior, can anyone suggest the best approach to make an embedded object required?
