XML formatter reverts changes after formatting

I'm using the XML Formatter together with VS Code Online. When I format the XML code the last saved changes will be reverted.

Is this a problem with vs code online?

vscode-xml is not compatible with vscode online, so that must be caused by something else

Is it planed to make it available for the web version?

I fear that it's not possible since vscode-xml is based on the LemMinX XML Language Server written in Java.
