Constant crashes

This now crashes constantly for us with the error

Unchecked runtime.lastError: The page keeping the extension port is moved into back/forward cache, so the message channel is closed. - We've used this in an Angular app with ngrx store devtools for 6+ years and only over the past year or so has it become almost unusable

Edit - this is the Chrome version of the plugin, the Firefox version seems to work fine

Experiencing crashes as well. They have become much more frequent than they did years ago. Is there anything in particular that reliably triggers it for you?
