It can happen that during charge through phase, the battery will only charge almost to full during day. e.g. to 95% and not 100%.
Currently in CT mode this will prevent discharging during the night - and very likely then charge the remaining 5% very early in the morning.
To add more effectiveness it could make sense to introduce a close-call charge through and defer the CT mode to another day. E.g. try to fully charge on the next day and discharge the 95% and hope for a better light the next day so that the 100% are reached during day.
If the battery has charged much less during the day (let's say only to 70%) no discharge would happen.
