Wait between commits

Hi, is it possible to somehow add a wait time between the plugin committing and pushing the 'pre tag commit' and the 'new version commit' when using useAutomaticVersion?

The problem I have is that both commits are done almost instantaneous. Because of that Jenkins builds both commits at the same time (even with a 0 second quiet period) and no release version is being published by the pipeline because it builds a new snapshot version, since that is the last commit.

As a workaround, you can add --dry-run to pushOptions:

release {
  git {
    pushOptions.add("--dry-run")
  }
}

After running gradlew release you'll be 2 commits ahead of origin/master (release with tag + next snapshot version).
You can then commit the first one, wait for Jenkins, then the second one.
git push --atomic origin HEAD~1:master <tag>
