Theme getting reset when something is changed in the user preference

The app theme is getting reset to the previous value when something is changed in the user preference and saved.

Findings from the slack:

the theme is getting reset when something is changed in the preferences.
Since the previous value is there on the redux state it was working.
And when I restarted the app, it opens with the new theme.
